As a snowboarder, Anna Gasser spends most of her time in nature. Sustainability plays a major role in her life – including mobility. In this part of the Audi e-tron stories, she tells us why she chose the Audi Q4 e-tron.
Q4 e-tron:
Only consumption and emission values according to WLTP and not according to NEDC are available for the vehicle.

When Anna Gasser is not jumping off a ski jump, performing tricks high in the air with her snowboard and winning numerous medals and titles for it, she travels extensively around the world because of her sport. That makes it all the more important for her to do something for the environment in her everyday life, she says. "For me as a winter sportsperson, sustainability is very important because I am very connected to nature and also dependent on it," says the 31-year-old. "I want to preserve the nature I spend so much time in". The professional snowboarder sees the shift to electromobility as a first important step. The trips that are feasible by car thus become more ecological. "I think every little contribution can do something good for the environment," Gasser says. "It just feels good." Wherever possible at public charging stations, the athlete charges her Audi Q4 e-tron with renewable energy. "I wish the car navigation system would show me directly where I can charge my electric car from renewable energy sources," Gasser adds. "I just feel better knowing I'm not emitting CO2 while driving and being more sustainable on the road."
Her friends, who often drive to the mountains with her and the Audi Q4 e-tron, also agree. "What also surprised me is how much space I have in the Audi Q4 e-tron - you wouldn't expect that from such a compact car," says the snowboarder. Often, she continues, there are even four of them on the road. "We often play Tetris with our bags, suitcases and sports equipment, and it's insane how much luggage fits in the car," says Gasser.
Anna Gasser can easily fit all her sports equipment in the Audi Q4 e-tron. The spacious trunk surprised her at first, she says.

At the age of 31, Anna Gasser has already achieved a lot in the snowboarding scene: two Olympic victories, a world championship title, several "World's Firsts" for her tricks with the board. In everyday life, she drives her all-electric Audi Q4 e-tron to be more sustainable on the road.
Three questions for Anna Gasser on electromobility
01. What has surprised you most about electromobility?
How well the charging works. Everyone advised me against an electric car because I'm not a planning person. Many people said, "You'll end up with an empty battery on the road." But I have to say, it all works out great. The navigation system in the car shows me the route with the charging stops - so far nothing has gone wrong.
02. Why did you opt for the Audi Q4 e-tron?
The Audi Q4 e-tron is the ideal car for me personally: It has the perfect mix of size, sportiness, a little elegance. After the first drive, the driving pleasure also convinced me. I didn't know before that driving electric could be cool. Plus, I'm helping to emit less CO2. It all just fits together.
03. What do you wish for the future in terms of electromobility?
Since electric mobility is probably the future, it would make sense to expand the charging infrastructure - especially in small towns and in the mountains. There are few charging options there at the moment. But I have already noticed that this is on the rise. In my home community of Millstatt, there was no charging station at all until a year ago. Today there are four.
Anna Gasser has her own charging station in her garage, where she charges her Audi Q4 e-tron overnight.
When she's not traveling, the athlete spends time at her home on Lake Millstatt in Carinthia.
